Every charge, annotated like everything else here
This board annotates its rows, and this page annotates its money. Rather than give you a total, we walk each charge separately and say who levies it and when: the marketplace at order time, the domestic carrier on the way to the warehouse, the international carrier once the box is weighed, Lovegobuy for the buying and checking work, and your customs office at the border. Understanding who charges what is the point; the calculator at the end handles the arithmetic.
← Back to overviewWho charges what, and when
Five charges from four different parties. We explain each rather than quoting any, because the numbers depend on your parcel, your route and your country.
- The marketplacecharges at order time, in CNY, and refunds if the seller never sends
- The domestic carriercharges a small flat amount to reach the warehouse
- The international carriercharges by chargeable weight after packing — the largest single line
- Your customs officecharges by its own rules, which neither Lovegobuy nor this board controls
Lovegobuy's fees, storage terms and policies are updated from time to time. Its own pages are authoritative.
The seven parts of what you pay
| Part | Typical basis | Charged by |
|---|---|---|
| Item price | Listing price on Taobao, 1688, Tmall or Weidian | Seller |
| Service fee | 4-10% of item price | Agent |
| Domestic leg | 2-5 days to the warehouse | Seller / domestic courier |
| International freight | Per kg or per 500 g, first weight + increments; volumetric divisor 5000 or 6000 | Carrier |
| Storage | Free 30 days, then a small daily fee | Warehouse |
| Optional extras | Repacking, vacuum, insurance — a small share of declared value | Agent |
| Duty and VAT | Set by your country, not by the agent | Customs |
Photographs annotated with measurements
What makes Lovegobuy's inspection useful for a beginner is that images come with measurements attached. That turns a subjective glance into a comparison: colour against the listing, any visible fault, the size tag checked against your own numbers, seam work, and whether the variant is the one you ordered.
- · Colour, against the listing photograph rather than the render
- · Obvious flaws — marks, pulled threads, scuffs, broken hardware
- · The size tag, plus the measurements recorded alongside it
- · Stitch and seam quality at the points that usually fail
- · That the variant and colourway are the ones you picked
- · Quantity, if you ordered more than one piece
- · How the fabric feels and moves — no measurement captures drape
- · Odour, which is the complaint people least expect
- · Whether zips, elastic and clasps hold up over months
- · Colour under your own lighting
- · Fit, because measurements help but trying it on is the real test
What annotated images settle, and what they genuinely cannot.
- Use the recorded measurements, not the size letter.Letters mean different things to different sellers; centimetres do not.
- Compare against something you already own.Lay a similar garment flat and measure it — the most reliable check there is.
- Query anything before dispatch.Inside the warehouse it is free; outside it costs freight.
- Keep the annotated images. They are evidence if the parcel disagrees with what you approved.
- Measure the QC photo if you canSome sets include a ruler. If yours does not, ask for one when sizing is the thing you are unsure about.
- Watch the hem and the collarThese are where cheap construction shows first, and they are visible in almost every photo set.
Freight, once inspection is done
Route choice comes after inspection. Lovegobuy's lines vary on price, speed and accepted goods, and cost follows weight and volume far more than item count — which is worth knowing before you add a fourth item to a box sized for three.
Carriers bill the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Tight packing costs less.
Let orders accumulate, then send one parcel rather than three.
Batteries, liquids, aerosols and branded goods are treated differently per route.
Customs holds are outside anyone's quoted range.
Cheap on one item, sensible on a consolidated box.
Submission and tracking are separate events.

Fees, line by line
Work it out with your own figures
Type in the marketplace price, the domestic leg, packed weight, the international rate, Lovegobuy's service fee and the exchange rate. Every row recomputes as you type, and nothing is added silently.
A planning figure. Chargeable weight, destination, customs treatment and carrier pricing all move the real amount, and Lovegobuy's estimator may show something different at checkout.
Refunds, returns and Lovegobuy's prohibited list
Lovegobuy publishes after-sales terms and a prohibited list. Read the clause covering your category before paying — restricted goods cannot leave the warehouse once they arrive.
