Getting the size right the first time
Chinese sizing usually runs one size smaller than US or EU labels, and the gap is widest on performance footwear with a narrow toe box. Measure your foot heel to toe in centimetres, then match that number against the size chart printed in the listing rather than converting your usual size. If you sit between two sizes, going up is almost always cheaper than discovering the fit is wrong after the parcel has travelled halfway round the world.
Substitution: the most common complaint
Substitution happens when a seller ships a different colourway or a different batch than the one you ordered, and it is far more common with footwear than any other category. Protect yourself by writing the exact colourway code into the order remarks and by checking the size tag against that code in the QC photos. It takes thirty seconds and it is the single most effective habit in this category.
How many pairs per shipment makes sense
Freight is priced on whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight, and shoe boxes push most parcels into the volumetric bracket. Two or three pairs in one consolidated shipment usually land in a far better rate band than the same shoes sent one at a time. Beyond roughly four pairs, watch the declared value and be aware that some destinations start asking for extra paperwork on larger parcels.
